Dancing

These two sequences were made in 1887 by Eadweard Muybridge. The prints survive today at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. Muybridge's work has become such a landmark for art historians and other scholars of modernist aesthetics that I foolishly believed by this time I must have seen copies of every major motion-sequence he created. Then I stumble across a spectacular unknown series like this one and am freshly stunned.
