Continuing yesterday's mental game of pretending to be an imaginary version of Queen Victoria who had good taste, in my ideal bedchamber I would (as Queen Victoria) have hung five of the Michelangelo drawings she owned (above) on one wall, all of them created in Rome in the 1530s. Across the room would be hanging the five Poussin wash drawings below, also created in Rome, but about a hundred years later.
