Mabel Watson Payne and her parents worked in Grandma's little garden in the East Bay on Saturday morning.

In the last picture Mabel is delivering a bite of breakfast pastry to Mamma so that Mamma can bend down and take the bite efficiently and not need to disengage herself from the complex demands of rose pruning.
