Youthful Minimalist



Sergej Jensen, though not literally a German Minimalist, probably counts as an honorary one. Born in Denmark (in 1973) he has lived and worked in Berlin for many years, where his strongest early influences are said to have been older German painters like Blinky Palermo and Sigmar Polke.








A hefty Sergej Jensen monograph came out last year, with emphasis on his relatively recent turn toward fabric collages, like the one above.
